At this very moment Batman Forever is playing on HBO with Val Kilmer playing the caped crusader and everywhere I look on the internet its Batman everywhere with The Dark Knight getting such favorable reviews. I for one am glad I will be watching it tomorrow on an IMAX screen. I have been waiting a while to catch up on the sequel to Batman Begins and now that it’s here I am making sure my entire family watches it by taking them all (of course with the exception of my kid sister who is in the United States) on a movie date to The Dark Knight. You can check in tomorrow for a review and my thoughts on The Dark Knight. You still don’t need a reason to catch up on The Dark Knight though. I am sure everywhere you look on the internet, especially if it has anything to do with entertainment, the buzz has been so immense about The Dark Knight and everyone’s been raving about Heath Ledger’s performance. I will be going though since I loved Batman Begins and want to find out where the franchise is headed since director Christopher Nolan created something unique with Batman Begins. No offence to Heath Ledger fans, I did like him and especially loved him in A Knight’s Tale, but I don’t agree with making The Dark Knight all about Heath Ledger even though by all accounts he has given a terrific and Oscar worthy performance. I would still look at The Dark Knight as the sum of all products and a coming together of some great talents instead of making it a single star’s vehicle. Anyways I will be back with more of my thoughts tomorrow in a comprehensive review of The Dark Knight, so be sure to check back.
