Ghajini – This was a real disappointment to me personally. I only liked the very 1st song Guzarish, which does have some replay value. I still find it hard to digest that believe Aamir Khan and A. R. Rehman have come up with such music that too for an Aamir Khan movie. The movie itself is good and entertaining, but the music does leave a lot to be desired.

Chandni Chowk To China – Foot tapping music from Akshay Kumar’s latest with Deepika Padukone for company. I still enjoy the music from Welcome, Akshay Kumar’s and Katrina Kaif’s movie from 2007. Chandni Chowk To China is really not in that league and does not deliver anything special or spectacular on the musical front. Hopefully, the movie will be better than what it sounds in terms of music right now.

Dostana – My wife asked for this album. I had not even heard it before then, but to tell you the truth I was not too much disappointed. Music certainly is foot tapping and will get most people dancing especially on tracks like "Maa Da Laadla" and "Shut Up & Bounce". My wife liked them and were it not for her I would have missed out on this one.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi – Not very impressive, but not very disappointing either. Tracks like “Haule Haule" certainly are an enjoyable romp and do have replay value to some extent but certainly not magical.

Raaz The Mystery Continues – Trust the Bhatt camp to deliver yet again. One of the best Hindi film music that I have come across in recent times and that is saying a lot right. The music is melodious, the lyrics are something you can pay attention to and definitely an album that you will be playing at least a few times. This one is certainly worth the price of the Audio CD at the very least.

@Rajiv,
After a break of 2 years I had a chance to go to a movie theatre with my family and watch Ghajini… We opted for second show so that our 6 year old doesn't get to watch all those horrible violence. The movie is not particularly great and a lot of people thought it's original (in fact stolen idea from Hollywood as well) Tamil version was better. The only thing I liked about the movie was sound effects and definitely Asin as an actress!
Music wasn't particularly interesting and I really hated those computer generated backgrounds for songs.
Tail piece: I figured out that movie watching is an expensive affair these days and common man cannot affort it. Three tickets cost us 600/- bucks, Some pop-corn and ridiculous parking charges meant that the movie adventure was at the expense of 800 bucks. Five years back we could have watched three movies with the same money.
I have not seen the movie yet Ajith. But I do agree with you about visiting the movie theaters being an expensive affair. Each time I and my wife go out to watch a movie it will cost anywhere from Rs. 800 to Rs. 1000 just for us both. Also the movies being made these days are no good. No wonder people prefer waiting for the DVD release or catch it on the TV not to mention pirated copies…
