Have you been in a situation when you felt nothing seems to be working? Sickness that has gripped you so hard that you don’t know what else you could do after trying out every medicine.
Well, how about trying prayer and prayer in agreement!
The last couple of weeks was really sickening for me, I mean physically. I had a severe bout of fever, body aches, cough, cold and sore throat, and the weakness that accompanied this sickness is unexplainable.
This was the twelfth day of my suffering and I had already undergone treatment for a week now with doses of injections, medication, pills, etc. I was going to work too in the same condition but today decided to stay back home and rest. I was on my bed the entire morning and the fever and weakness did not seem to leave. It was around two o’clock and I wasn’t up to eating my food too. I just lay on the bed and was feeling too weak to move. As I was lying on the bed, I called out to the Lord and found myself talking to Him saying, Lord how long I have to stay in this condition. I need help!
It was as if I heard Him in a still small voice – Call someone for prayer! I did not know who to call as none of the people I know stay close to my home and I could not wait till somebody comes to visit me in the evening. I thought of calling my brother but I refrained from doing that as I knew he would have gone to work. There was this urge to call him nevertheless. So, I sent him a message asking him if he was home. When there was a call from his number, it further confirmed my doubts that he wasn’t home. If he was home, then he would just walk up to my room instead of calling me. I picked up the phone thinking I will have him pray over me on the phone, but to my surprise he said he was home! I told him to come and pray with me to be healed.
Now, this is what I call a double portion of anointing. I called my brother and guess what? My sis-in-law too came in to pray. They both laid hands on me, my brother on my back and my sis-in-law on my head and together started speaking in tongues. I too whispered in tongues and agreed for my healing. As my brother started praying louder, I heard this voice in my head – “Manifestation.” As soon as I heard this word form in my head, I heard my brother speaking loudly – let healing manifest now! In less than two minutes, I felt all the aches in my body leave, my parched throat felt watered, I could swallow my saliva without pain (earlier I couldn’t because of the sore throat) and I felt so much better. They finished praying for me and I confirmed to them that I was feeling much better. My brother advised me to continue praying in tongues and that I would be fine; I continued to pray in tongues and sure enough I was completely well by evening.
We often forget that Jesus is the best doctor we have and we need to run to Him in times of sickness. There is power when we pray in agreement and dynamite power when we pray in tongues. I encourage you to release this power that God has given you to see Him work miracles in your life.
