This is a standard one-liner that is found in just about everybody’s prayer especially prayers in the fleshly realm and without the anointing and/or leading of the Holy Spirit or prayers that are not based on the Word of God. I’m sure you have come across such statements like “it will be done if it is God’s will”, “it is the Lord’s will”, “God is putting me through all of this to teach me something”, “this is my thorn in the flesh like Paul’s” and many such more statements. I too was brought up along these lines and taught pretty much of the same thing. But is that really God’s will?
Well to put it in a nutshell NO! God has revealed His will in His Word. It is indeed God’s will to heal us, bless us, prosper us and deliver us. It’s not God’s will that should be in question, but our willingness to believe God’s Word and act on it. Just today afternoon we were ministering to an old lady who was suffering body aches and pains and who was not even able to walk properly and suffering from this for many years. She came asking for prayer and healing but said let me be healed if it is God’s will. We had only one question to ask of her! Do you want to be healed or not? We shared and revealed God’s will in His Word which was to heal and deliver anyone and everyone. Once the grandmother was convinced we laid hands on her and prayed over her and immediately God performed a miracle and she was immediately leaping and jumping for joy. This grandmother who found it difficult and extremely painful to even walk was running and even climbing stairs without any effort or discomfort. God had performed a miracle and revealed his will and willingness to heal once again.
