Partner with God. Why would anyone want to do it? For profit obviously. Any and every kind of partnership is for mutual profit right? God can and will profit you more than anyone or anything else can. But the trick is in partnering right with God. There are certain guidelines to be followed for success in this endeavor (as with all endeavors) but more so essential here since success in partnering with God will take you beyond everything you have ever dreamed of. At the very outset let’s throw tradition and religion out of the door as it has no place in partnering with God. Tradition and religion say God answers prayers with a yes, a no, or a wait, but the Word of God says ask and you shall receive. Tradition and religion say it’s better to be poor and righteous instead of a sinner and covetous, but the Word of God says I have plans to proper you. If you want to be free of tradition and religion and really partner with God then you have to let go of all old and useless traditional and religious teachings you have been taught right from your childhood. Partnering with God means to be free from everything else and to be only tied to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Above all else the key to success in partnering with God is obedience. In fact that is all that is required and expected of you. God only expects us to listen to Him and obey Him, that is the requirement to prosper and profit in partnering with God. I know it sounds hard to believe, but that’s the way the Lord Jesus Christ works. His yoke is easy and light, no hard work involved. All that you are required to do is spend time with Him and listen to what He says and then obey. Obedience is the key, I have to stress here. Partial obedience or even delayed obedience is actually disobedience. Obedience is a must, disobedience is a no go when walking and partnering with God. Now you will want to ask and know how does one hear from God or hear God speak? Well for beginners the church obviously. Last Sunday I checked God was still speaking to His people who attend church especially on a regular basis and that too a Holy Spirit filled and Holy Spirit led church. So begin right by attending church and begin your week right. The second place God will speak to you is through his Word i.e. The Bible. So again begin right by reading His Word i.e. The Bible on a regular basis. The third place God will speak to you is in prayer. Yes that’s right God not only hears our prayers, but He also answers them. We serve a God who hears i.e. listens and who answers i.e. speaks too. Once you begin to hear God for yourself and start acting on what He says the profit making will only naturally and very obviously follow.
Above all else obedience to the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit is required to profit when partnering with God. In my personal life I have become more sensitive to the inner promptings and leading of the blessed and wonderful Holy Spirit by spending hours praying in the spirit. This above all else will help you to develop sensitivity towards the leading of the Holy Spirit and to hear Him and obey Him.
