I have been playing with Google Chrome Browser Extensions for a while now and while the content itself is new and limited it will surely turn more away from Firefox. In fact the very first Google Chrome Browser Extension that I tried out was Xmarks (Foxmarks from Firefox) a bookmarks manager to synchronize and backup your bookmarks online. Xmarks worked right out of the box and without a hitch and performed to all of my expectations. Installation was similar to installing an add-on in Firefox (just click on where it says install) but in Google Chrome they work right off the block and do not require the browser to be restarted which was (is???) the case with Firefox. This particular extension did seem redundant considering Google Chrome Browser comes with inbuilt bookmarks synchronization linked to your Google Account.

There are however other extensions available like DotSpots, StumbleUpon, Google Translate, and AdThwart which is surprising since Google does make its money from AdSense (or has that changed of late). Extensions like these will surely turn away more from Firefox and get them hooked onto Google Chrome Browser and that is definitely not a bad thing all things considered. You can check out the available extensions for Google Chrome Browser at https://chrome.google.com/extensions/.
