Sad but true. These are unfortunately the most popular ways to draw attention and become popular these days especially on the internet. Case in point, The Dark Knight review and rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The Dark Knight has garnered 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and out of a multitude of positive reviews, 2 reviewers have come up with negative reviews for this awesome movie. What is even more surprising is that they have the most number of comments posted in response to their reviews than anyone else. Mind you all the comments posted in response to their negative reviews are negative themselves i.e. negative towards the reviewers and with personal attacks too and calling into question the reviewers’ skills. But still I would like to point out that these two reviewers have ended up with the most responses than anyone else despite posting negative reviews about what is obviously a very good movie. It might be they did post negative reviews just to garner attention to themselves in which case they are probably having the last laugh. Still it bemoans me that most response is given to those who make controversial statements or go against the grain even if it’s obviously wrong…

It's very true that people can get famous by making a negative point or creating controversies.
