One movie in recent times that I enjoyed immensely was Batman Begins. To me it was near perfect and was made just about perfectly palatable by director Christopher Nolan. Everything about the movie was perfect be it Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanabe, Morgan Freeman each one in this list is an extremely talented actor and perhaps the only weak link in Batman Begins was Katie Holmes. The action was superb, the performances all uniformly good, the sets huge and gothic, and it even had a pretty good decent story line an achievement in itself. Now that I have made it clear how much of a fan I am of Batman Begins, it is understandable that I am eagerly looking forward to its sequel and also understandable that I have been following its making in the news. One bit of news that took me by surprise was Heath Ledger playing The Joker, a role made all the more memorable by Jack Nicholson in Tim Burton’s Batman from 1989, however, on looking at Heath Ledger’s take on The Joker in the pictures released on the internet I was impressed by the new look Joker. I really liked Heath Ledger in A Knight’s Tale and his first teen flick 10 Things I Hate About You. Hollywood has really lost a fine gifted actor with his untimely demise.
