Donation Coder is a website that works on a different concept of providing software that is not freeware, shareware, or paid software. Rather Donation Coder makes available software that it terms donationware and the concept is you can download any software from Donation Coder for free, but you will need to register on the website for a serial to use the software. This serial will be valid for 6 months after which time you will need to visit the Donation Coder website again and register again for a lifetime serial which will never run out again. The idea behind this concept is that after using the software for 6 months and while visiting the Donation Coder website again for a lifetime serial the user might weigh how useful the software has been and make a donation to the software provider at Donation Coder. It’s also possible that the users might not make a donation, but register for a lifetime serial, but Donation Coder by this method does give users an option to think again about the benefits derived from the software and about making a donation for a software that did cost time and effort, but is still given out freely, but yet termed donationware at Donation Coder.
