The default WordPress Kubrick Theme which launched many a blog (including mine) and even changed the face of the internet with the advent of personal blogging is finally being retired the middle of this year. Well I guess like all good things even this has to come to an end though I cannot wait to see what will replace it as the default WordPress theme. The default WordPress theme generally is never used but does come in handy if your current theme is broken or does not work when WordPress is updated in which case instead of your blog going offline it will simply display using the default WordPress theme. At least for this reason the default WordPress theme is important to have hanging around especially when upgrading WordPress, Plugins or even a theme.
