Of late I’ve been seeking the Lord Jesus Christ a lot and very earnestly too. By this I mean spending hours praying in the spirit, reading the Word of God and even fasting. Even my wife joined in on this quest. Yesterday things reached a boiling point and I really found it hard to even pray. In fact the entire day this struggle went on but to no avail. I stayed awake late into the night asking God to speak to me. Finally, late into the night I called it quits physically drained and tired and I went to bed without hearing anything from God the entire day. Even lying on the bed (late into the early morning hours) I did not give up but instead persisted in praying and asking for a Word from God.
Did I hear from God? No! Not even a single peep and that too after an entire day of struggle. Early today morning I woke up with renewed quest that I would persist and not give up till I had heard from God. Well even today God did not speak to me but I finally had revelation knowledge break through and enlighten my understanding. What is the lowdown? Well God has already spoken all He wants to speak or say it in His Word and He is not going to say a different thing or say a new thing now. In fact revelation dawned on me that any and every query I can come up with for any and every situation of my life, it is all covered in the Word of God. God does not have anything else or anything new to say about these things. Neither is God going to keep repeating Himself and say the same things over and over. It is up to us to dig into the Word of God and find out for ourselves what God has said about a particular situation and apply God’s Word to that situation.
Any and every situation be it healing, physical strength, finances, peace of mind or peace at home, life partner… in other words just about everything and anything is covered in the Word of God and God’s will and direction is revealed in the Word of God. The revelation was clear, stop asking for the same thing again and again, instead dig into the Word of God, find out God’s Will for that situation and then apply the Word of God to that situation in your life. You will have victory in that situation.
